I was so excited to love BarkBox. First box, first toy, my pup pops the seam in less then 5 minutes (tug o' war with another dog). I request a replacement and was told "Not to worry, I am going to go ahead and send you out that replacement! I went ahead and marked you down for our more durable plush option at no extra cost, since you said she loves her plush toys. I know you said you wanted to test out a puzzle toy so I am going to go ahead and send you one right now:) Please tell Tonks it should arrive within 3-5 business days!"
Many of your dog's toys should be interactive. Interactive play is very important for your dog because he needs active "people time." By focusing on a specific task, like repeatedly returning a ball, Kong® or Frisbee ®, or playing "hide-and-seek" with treats or toys, your dog can expend pent-up mental and physical energy in a limited amount of time and space. This greatly reduces stress due to confinement, isolation and/or boredom. For young, high-energy and untrained dogs, interactive play also offers an opportunity for socialization and helps them learn about appropriate and inappropriate behavior, such as jumping up or being mouthy.
I ordered my first BarkBox which was estimated to arrive this Thursday, October 4th (tomorrow). As a first time box buyer you're supposed to receive your box 2-8 business days from your order. I checked on status today and it now says that the box is "still being prepared" when just a couple days ago it had the arrival date of 10/4/18. I already paid for the full 6 months subscription up front. When trying to chat with a service rep they said they had no idea of an estimated date in which I would receive the box. When I asked to cancel the subscription she said I could only cancel going forward and not be refunded for the 6 months I had already paid for. Welcome to BarkBox I suppose! Duped out of my money right out of the gate. I will be going to BBB to get a refund. Paying for services/product then being told "we have no idea what you'll receive this product" is not an acceptable way to do business.

Tico likes: I loved the stuffed "pup noodles"! Mom doesn't let me have any real noodles (something about allergies, I don't know what that word means), so this is the closest I could get to the real thing. I even wondered if there were real noodles inside, so just in case, I made sure to destroy the whole thing in under 10 minutes flat. There weren't any noodles.
Membership at BarkPark encompasses one dog and up to two humans. (Bark suggests “each dog to come with his/her two favorite humans, so bring a friend, a coworker, or a hot date.”) Memberships will go on sale in mid-August, and pricing is tiered at daily ($19), monthly ($48), and season passes ($78). Discounts are available for multi-dog homes and local Nashville businesses. Events held at the park, like the comedy show and yoga meetups, are free to attend for all members.
Moxie still has all the toys I got her when I brought her home.  While she likes to carry them around, she doesn’t get destructive with them, so they last.  Getting new toys every month would just be overkill!  I’m envisioning piles and piles of toys.  I don’t really see any other Barkbox reviews pointing this out, so I don’t think it is overkill if your dog tends to tear up the toys eventually.
According to the BarkBox website, all edible items are tested in-house, are sourced directly from the U.S., Canada, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, and are never processed with formaldehyde. Because BarkBox’s founders are dog lovers as well, they wouldn’t send anything to your dogs, that they wouldn’t send to their own. In addition, the company claims that at least 10% of all profits are given to canine-related shelters, rescues, and welfare organizations.

Of course, all of the boxes have been scrutinized through our eyes. While I don’t claim that everyone will agree with our assessment, we do have some pretty high standards. Chester and Gretel are strong chewers so toys have to be quality, or have some kind of special sauce, to last around this house; we live in Seattle – the land of high-end, boutique pet stores; and I’ve seen some of the highest-quality, cutting edge products available at pet industry trade shows. We are not easy sells so I feel like when we say a subscription box is good, it really is.
