Almost two years ago we tried and reviewed 7 of the subscription boxes on the market. Since then, we’ve tried boxes from another 6 or 7 companies. We’ve tried a lot of these boxes more than once. Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen about 50 subscription boxes from 14 different companies and I’ve written two comprehensive comparison posts. If that doesn’t make us experts on dog subscription boxes, I don’t know what does.


I think for the price, its worth it, especially since it costs equal if not less than going to the petstore and buying 5 items (two toys, two treats, one chew). Its delivered to your door and I feel like your pup would be more than excited upon getting it. The themes are cute and change every month which is great. You also get a little cake treat when it is around your dogs birthday which is also cute. You have the option and ability to add more products to your boxes every month too however it comes at an extra fee so keep that in mind if you want to splurge. 

Not so happy with this company. It is already August and have not received my July box yet. When I try to check online, it just says, "Information not available yet." Talked to the rep and she said there have been some delays with getting boxes out due to a warehouse move, and while I understand the delay (I guess?), being proactive and communicating this information to customers would go a long way to avoid frustration. They did offer to make the August box free, which is nice, but as of now, my August box will be delivered before the July box. Makes no sense. It's a bummer. I was excited, but I'm not trusting that future orders will be timely.

They ask about my animals by name and have checked up on me twice since to see if my little ones are enjoying the gifts from Bark Box. They also are looking into making sure that other people can understand the terms of their boxes and do not make the same mistakes that I had, as well as working with their chat department to better their customer service in the future.

Today I again reached out to BarkBox to ask where the box was. I was told the shipment had been lost. When I asked where the other two boxes were there was no answer. I was also told that they could not find record of my payment for the original box and could not process a refund. When I asked when I was going to be notified that they had lost my shipment I was told that they do not always do that.
