My dog, Cooper, has been getting boxes each month for over a year now. He started when he was four months old and the company has been helpful making sure his box is the best for his age and chewing stage. We have never been disappointed in the contents of a box. We just added a new puppy to the family and have already ordered her Bark Box. Now, both dogs will love going to the post office to get "their" mail.
We received 3 months as a gift. However since our pup has food allergies I contacted Bark Box to change the food and snacks provided. Response time is horrible. I had to email several times… When they did reply they confirmed that they would put us on their list of dogs with special dietary restrictions. Barkbox ships around the 15th of every month and once the box is shipped, they would send you an email confirming your shipment and customers in the US living in the lower 48 states will have free shipping, with their boxes being delivered within 2-8 business days. US customers also get tracking details. Customers in Canada can expect the subscription box for their dogs within 4-12 days of shipment and they apologize for the lack of tracking details as you cannot track your box once it leaves the US. I was hesitant at first about giving BarkBox a try. When I contacted customer service the person I was chatting with made me feel like I was incompetent and that it was my own fault for not understanding and reading the very fine print that was smaller than the other wording at the bottom of the page, so needless to say I was very upset. I was not offered a refund and basically, they told me to just deal with it. So I canceled my credit card and went about my way. I did a review of them after the chat and told them why I was upset and what my issue was.
Used to review dog boxes, paied for them so I could say what I wanted. The DapperDog I was so excited to order,however subpar for the price when I recieved it. Both my dogs either the toy fell apart, the list goes on. It’s a more expensive box that I found did not match what was in the box. I like to change up every year, this box half I could not use. I am honestly shocked they have are still around. Just my 2 cents.
Emmy dislikes: All the toys were stuffed, which means I knew they'd be dead meat within hours. BUT thats not Barkbox's fault, it's mine — I didn't realize that you can upgrade to a "heavy chewer" box with toys of varying durability for free, or step it up a notch and order a "super chewer" version of the Barkbox for an additional $8–$10 a month, depending on your subscription plan, with extra-durable toys that have been tested on freakin' WOLVES. Regardless, I don't mind giving Tico stuffed toys every so often, because he has a lot of seemingly satisfying fun entertaining himself by pulling them apart, and he's not the kind of dog who eats non-edible things (thank god).
