And 85 percent of our content doesn’t even mention BarkBox specifically.”

I am so far only subscribed for a month but I am so glad I did. What made me subscribe, believe it or not was the customer service, they were great. I had a ton of questions when I was browsing their website and not because I was being difficult but because I got burned by my last subscription with Pupbox. Upon receiving the first box, my decision to bite into a 6-month plan was very easily justified. Everything in the box was good quality as promised. It was a fun surprise opening the box. There were a couple of things in the box that we didn’t quite like because it had poultry, but all I had to do was email them and they sent a replacement immediately. They also explained that the welcome box is like a sample box and is in my experience whatever we didn’t want or work will be replaced, no questions asked.

Like several corporate replies to others' reviews, I also have been informed by corporate that a "hiccup in the warehouse" is delaying August orders. Zero information was provided by the company up front to explain this problem. I attempted a chat with customer service last week only to discover that there is no chat. I had to leave a message, which wasn't returned. Then I emailed customer service about an ETA. That prompted a corporate reply with the as-now-standard "hiccup in the warehouse" explanation. I was told our August box is "still on the way." That doesn't answer my ETA question.
But the data also shows a wide range. The lower bound is under $15, while the upper bound is over $35. This means there is scope for BarkBox to “complicate” their pricing. Consumer products try and keep pricing simple to reduce the friction in the sign-up. This often leads to them leaving money on the table. Unfortunately I had to cancel my bark box subscription. I have huge dogs, aggressive chewers. Each month they send a toy, a stuffed toy. Which lasts all of 15 minutes with my dogs… I contacted Bark box month after month requesting non stuffed toys. We did recently switch warehouses in July and in doing so it caused a hiccup in our system with some boxes. So some of our boxes were a little bit delayed. We are more than happy to make sure that you get that July box and check into the tracking more for you and turn this around. Then going forward I want to ensure you and your pack that you shouldn't have any further trouble with boxes. That was just due to our warehouse move for the month of July. Then your box for this month should be there in no time at all. Our official shipping date monthly is on the 15th! We would love to double check this for you and give you more specifics. Moxie still has all the toys I got her when I brought her home.  While she likes to carry them around, she doesn’t get destructive with them, so they last.  Getting new toys every month would just be overkill!  I’m envisioning piles and piles of toys.  I don’t really see any other Barkbox reviews pointing this out, so I don’t think it is overkill if your dog tends to tear up the toys eventually.
Claire likes: While I don't want to know exactly what's in my box because it kinda takes some of the surprise and fun away, personally, PupJoy's customization options are a godsend for people who have allergy-prone dogs or already have a trunkful of toys. I thought the red bone thing was really cool — it had a soothing feel to it and a crunchy texture on the inside. Also WOW, this box is a good deal.
It’s listed in my comparison post and it’s a good box. It didn’t make it to my top 3 though. It’s been around a long time and not changed much since the beginning. That is a good thing because most other boxes have come and gone. It also means that more modern offerings have come out that offer more like customization/personalization and more donations to charity though. Each of them on my top three have a little something special and/or their products and treats were just a bit better than the rest.
