A good dog toy will amuse your dog for a little while, but a great dog toy will keep him busy for hours at a time. Choosing the perfect dog toy is about finding something your dog likes that will also stand up to some rough play and maybe some heavy chewing. Not all dog toys are created equal, and each dog has his own unique preferences. If you were to test all of the dog toys on the market, it would take you ages. Fortunately, we've done the work for you to find the best dog toys out there.
PupJoy also earned big points with us because their mission is to do good and make a significant difference. They support the little guy by sourcing from small suppliers who are focused on creating quality, responsible products, they give a lot more to charity programs – almost 50% – than other subscription box companies, and they have also fostered a community of dog lovers like you, who together are capable of doing some good and making an impactful change.

Subscribers to BarkBox, the monthly delivery service that brings products tailored to your dog’s size and sensibility, snap photos or videos to post on social media of their dogs enjoying a fresh delivery. After all, nearly every piece of packaging and paper in the box reminds dog owners to use the hashtag #barkboxday—a trademark as consistent as their effort to infuse humor in every consumer interaction they have with Barkbox or parent company Bark.

For prices starting at $15 a month, your dog will receive daily meal packs made entirely of human-grade ingredients to meet your pup’s personal needs. Designed by veterinarians, these meals provide the perfect nutritional diet for your furry friend as opposed to dried dog food with less-than-ideal add-ins. And aside from the health benefits, these meal packs are so tasty, even humans might want a bite.
This is where BarkBox blew me away with their customer service and their attention to detail regarding my specific needs. Within 30 minutes I got a response noting my concerns. One of there team members mailed out a new bag of treats for my dog to try free of charge! We also discussed that maybe my dog wasn’t a big chewer however cotton stuffed toys weren’t great either. She suggested I get a box with "durable fabric" toys instead. She also mailed out a sample toy for my dog to try. Free of charge. He loved it! They lowered my monthly subscription right away. They even followed up to make sure my dog was loving his new box and if I needed to tweak it any further.

Thanks so much for your kind words Carrie and Angel! We are so very lucky to have you guys in the pack and to be able to spoil Angel! Tell Angel if she wants more monthly chews in her boxes we are now able to customize our boxes to get more of some items and less of another. You can email us directly at Lindz@barkbox.com if that sounds like something she would love to do! Give her all of the love and pets from us here! Then if you need anything at all going forward please don't hesitate to let us know.
They have 3 options. Regular, heavy chewer, which they upgrade you for free, but I recommend super chewer box. You pay an extra $9 or so per box, but they come backed with a 14 day guarantee. My two large GSDs have not chewed through a single toy from the first box we tried, in December. Worth looking into! They were also very responsive to me on the online chat, during their business hours. One chew they went through in minutes, not a toy, but a chew, and because I pay extra I was frustrated. I got an immediate reply from their online chat option, and they offered to send TWO replacement chews. Such great options! I also recommend you trying bullymake, and my favorite is DapperDog, which I was disappointed that it wasn’t even mentioned in this article. Worth looking into!
If you keep running out of doggie treats and goodies, or maybe you get the wrong ones, you need help. Thanks to Barkbox’s monthly plans, your furry best friend will have all the treats it needs for its age and size. Barkbox is the ultimate monthly dog subscription box service that will deliver toys and treats for your beloved dog when they need it most.
I subscribed to Barkbox last Dec and continued it for 3 months. I have a chihuahua who loves treats, but I don’t feed her treats in such large quantities. My boxes always included some sort of sausage bar which she loved, about 2-3 large bags of treats and 1-2 toys. The treats were too much; in fact, we still have a few bags despite cancelling a few months ago. The “squeaky” toys were ok, but they were pretty cheap and didn’t last. For the monthly cost of the box, “we” were better off saving the $$$ and applying it to better toys and treats in smaller quantities. I can see this box being better for consumers with larger pets since they eat much more than a chihuahua. Every 5 lbs a dog gains is equivalent to a human gaining 20!! If we fed our beloved pet “all” the treats they were sending, she’d turn into a chunky monkey and it would be very unhealthy for her. So, the box, in my humble opinion, is better for larger dogs who can eat more treats with less repercussions.
Giving your dog a new toy is an exercise in natural selection. No matter how cute or pricey it is, there’s some chance that your pup will ignore the new plaything or rapidly tear it to shreds, either way leaving it for dead. Here we present the survivors: the toys that our pups have verified to be good for hours, or even years, of play that’s engaging, ferocious, and cute.
Made from phthalate-free vinyl, the Wobble Wag Giggle Ball is durable for both indoor and outdoor use, and it will stand up against all but the most aggressive chewers. This toy doesn't need batteries, and there is no setup required — all it takes is a simple nudge for the ball to start moving and mimicking the joyful sound of laughter that will keep your dog excited and engaged for hours.
BarkBox delivers remarkable customer service. Your canine friend is sure to delight in his monthly surprise gifts. All the BarkBox toys are durable. Your dogs will take delight in various dog treats including the snacks and bones. What you get from the company are quality toys and treats all geared to create fun moments for you and your doggy friend.
Hey Anne! Thanks so much for reaching out to us and we are so very sorry to hear this! That is not the experience that we want you or that lucky pup to have at all. We want nothing more than to make the experience as easy and enjoyable for you as possible! I would love to turn this around for you and email you directly to get this taken care of! Please email us directly at Lindz@barkbox.com so we can ensure that pup gets that box!
I absolutely LOVE AND RECCOMENDED Barkbox for anyone who is always worried that their dog has to have the best and healthiest of everything, like I am. I subscribe to a 12 month large dog box. I also get an extra toy free every month. Every month Biscuit recieves 3 toys, 2 FULL bags of treats and a chew. The toys are seasonal matching and EXTREMELY DURABLE! Biscuit is a fan of destruction of everything so I was relieved and surprised to see them all holding up to her aggressive nature with them. And she does try very hard to rip them apart. They also have sounds that intrigue her. Crinkly, giggle,  squeaker.
I'm brand new to Bark Box and I ordered my very 1st BB for my dog on August 1st. Here it is now August 9th and no box. When I chatted with a rep I was told that the boxes are delayed due to a change in location and I would be receiving an email w/a tracking # "soon". Still no email, no tracking #. Such a disappointment from what seems to be a solid company that cares about our dogs. I will be canceling my subscription after I receive this box. If I don't receive it by next week I'll be requesting a full refund. I'm only giving 1 star because they do donate to pet shelters.
“My mother has two medium sized dogs and regularly subscribes to barkbox. I was reluctant as the themes and treats according to me, did not suit my little Bella. My mother said that Barkbox takes the size of the dog into account and urged me to take a look at a few reviews and subscribe. I did and was hugely surprised as Bella’s box had an entirely different theme! She loved everything in the box.”
There are no serious flaws in the company’s services apart from the fact that, currently, it is not possible to customize a multi-pet box. Also, the company doesn’t yet have a Meowbox monthly subscription box just yet. Again, the subscription auto-renews so it is essential to cancel when you no longer want the services and on time. Failure to do this auto-renews your subscription.
Claire dislikes: Tbh, I was mildly exasperated by this box. They sent three of the same kind of toy, which was so disappointing because for the same gagging/choking hazard reasons I couldn't give Ruggie the lion toy from the BarkBox, I couldn't give these "iBalls" to her either. The antler I received was so, so small, and while I know Ruggie's a tiny beeb, she still goes to town on her chew toys and was worried she'd swallow it accidentally or something.
Not only do the themed monthly boxes start at only $21, but if your pup doesn’t dig something that came in his box, the company will fix it for you according to their Scout’s Honor policy. Although I can personally attest to the fact that you will be making very few calls to Customer Service, as all treats and toys are dog-tested and approved. My 3-year-old Pomeranian never met a BarkBox she didn’t like, and now she’s convinced every package that comes through my apartment door is for her. #Princess.
"For a limited time, buy this sample box for $11.99 and receive an equivalent credit for select products shipped and sold from Amazon.com. Each box contains 6 or more samples from participating brands. A week after your product ships, you will receive an email with instructions about how to use your credit. Limit one box per customer. Sample box is available for Prime members only. Offer available for a limited time. Samples may vary based on availability."

I highly recommend The Dapper Dog Box to anyone looking to spoil their dog with quality products. As an over concerned dog mom, I'm always analyzing treat ingredients. The Dapper Dog Box always sends treats that are in line with my healthy beliefs for Bruce Wayne. I am also highly impressed with the size appropriate toys they send, as BW is a TINY dog .
Pup-people with questions about BarkBox can now choose to privately and playfully interact with a dog (in lieu of a human) via direct messages on Twitter, and get information via a series of awesomely punny puppy questions that BarkBox built using Reply.ai. BarkBox’s chatbot (or dog bot) is as quirky as you’d imagine. It answers frequently asked questions and helps customers find the right BarkBox for their dogs by guiding them through some tail-waggingly fun questions. If the dog bot can’t fetch an answer, Zendesk Message detects this and hands the question off to a trained BarkBox support agent to resolve.
