Barkbox ships via DHL and USPS (Priority mail) inside US and ships to Canada via USPA to Canada Post. This requires you to personally collect the box and if a re delivery is not possible, you’ll be asked to go to the post office. But you can avoid all this by customizing your delivery options or by talking to the USPA personnel. You can schedule your delivery time as well by going to my.usps.com.

My pittie (Snoop, 55 pounds, 4 years) loves to destroy his toys, and the Chompster Mash toys from BarkShop are made with the intention of being destroyed. Even so, they tend to last much longer than the other plush creatures I buy Snoop—some for weeks! The three-eyed, squeaker-filled Goosie Goon is a good place to start. While they’re not cheap—especially considering that they meet the trash can before too long—they are the only toys that can keep Snoop occupied for hours. Bonus: BarkShop has a loyalty program called the Destroyers Club, where you can earn credits on future purchases if you share photos of your pup destroying these toys. Who doesn’t love sharing photos of their pup?

Thankfully, Barkbox sometimes offers toys with no filling and most of them are squeaky toys which Pollie adores. They even offer to exchange a product if Pollie doesn’t like it.”
I ordered my first box a month ago. They refunded me and promised 4 free boxes....however....I have been told they moved their warehouse and things didn't go well. Then they said my box was built and ready to go...but it hasn't. The cute stuff they say only makes me angrier. I am not a child and it is unacceptable to not provide results. I am out to find another service for my dog...cause this one stinks
It would be a total waste for my 3 1/2 pound adult toy poodle. She will not eat dog treats and never plays with toys. Her favorite treats are green beans out of the freezer or part of a mickey d’s hamburger and a few french fries. She is perfectly healthy for a 17 year old dog. Vet tells me to keep doing what I’m doing with her because she is healthier than a lot of small dogs half her age.
Moxie still has all the toys I got her when I brought her home.  While she likes to carry them around, she doesn’t get destructive with them, so they last.  Getting new toys every month would just be overkill!  I’m envisioning piles and piles of toys.  I don’t really see any other Barkbox reviews pointing this out, so I don’t think it is overkill if your dog tends to tear up the toys eventually.

“When you tell customers when they should expect their shipments, they’re pretty good at holding you accountable to that,” Snowden says. But the homegrown fulfillment solution BarkBox was using made it difficult to communicate with customers when delivery information changed, and nearly impossible to get timely feedback when something went wrong. In the event of a delay, the information might not reach the customer until it was too late, and worse still, the customer would oftentimes reach out to the carrier’s customer support to get help. “The carriers of course do everything they can, but we as a brand lost the control over that experience,” Snowden says.
“If our social media team was run by marketers, you’d see a lot more photos of just the box and our products from that month,” said Bark’s marketing director Rachel Mansfield. “Our team of comedians finds ways to creatively produce silly videos that highlight our products in our own way. We’re coming up with the stories around our monthly themes six months in advance, and the people on our social teams are in the room brainstorming with the marketing team. That thread of humor is throughout everything.”

Doing right by the customer is of the utmost importance to the BarkBox team—even a minor communication slip-up can permanently damage a relationship. Because of this, BarkBox has invested heavily in their customer service team—the “Happy Team”, as they call it—to proactively manage issues and keep every customer satisfied, even when logistical hiccups arise.
Funny, I just canceled Barkbox. I repeatedly asked them to upgrade me to the heavy chewers box. The toys sent were WAY undersized for my dog and were destroyed in minutes, a few I would have actually considered choke hazards for my 90 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback (the stuffed raindrops in the ‘cloud’ toy a couple months ago). I’m trying Dapper Dog since they have an EASY to find option for Extra Large dogs and it’s easy to specify a heavy chewer right from the get go.
It’s listed in my comparison post and it’s a good box. It didn’t make it to my top 3 though. It’s been around a long time and not changed much since the beginning. That is a good thing because most other boxes have come and gone. It also means that more modern offerings have come out that offer more like customization/personalization and more donations to charity though. Each of them on my top three have a little something special and/or their products and treats were just a bit better than the rest.

I had a terrible experience with barkbox. My dog is not a strong chewer at all (he's a shih tzu) but somehow every time we got a box the toys were super cheap and would fall apart immediately. I was actually thinking of quitting the subscription but I liked the surprises each month so I thought I'd stick it out a few months. He had never destroyed any toys until we started getting barkbox toys, so after a couple deliveries - I knew they were cheaper than average. They'd basically fall apart in 2 min of him playing with them which sucked.On our last barkbox, one toy actually fell apart immediately when he was chewing on the new toy for the first time (literally within a minute of me giving it to him) he accidentally swallowed the squeaker and ended up having a $5000+ surgery as a result to get it out. He had to be completely cut open. Between the emotional pain of my dog having surgery, being in the ICU, having a pain med patch stapled to his back and weeks of recovery, I never trusted this company again. I wish I had never tried them.Suffice to say, not a fan and I tell anyone considering trying them this story. I'd rather pick my own treats and toys and be able to know what i'm getting quality wise. Be careful if you subscribe, big breeds might be ok but I'm sure small breeds regularly have this happen to them with this company.
But the data also shows a wide range. The lower bound is under $15, while the upper bound is over $35. This means there is scope for BarkBox to “complicate” their pricing. Consumer products try and keep pricing simple to reduce the friction in the sign-up. This often leads to them leaving money on the table. I was so excited to love BarkBox. First box, first toy, my pup pops the seam in less then 5 minutes (tug o' war with another dog). I request a replacement and was told "Not to worry, I am going to go ahead and send you out that replacement! I went ahead and marked you down for our more durable plush option at no extra cost, since you said she loves her plush toys. I know you said you wanted to test out a puzzle toy so I am going to go ahead and send you one right now:) Please tell Tonks it should arrive within 3-5 business days!"
Subscriptions seem to be on autorenew. Right now, I pay for a year at a time. I can't remember if there is an option to pay for a month at a time or not. I am thinking not. Subscribers set up an account and from there, you can cancel if you desire. That option appears to be easy to figure out and not hidden like some autoship companies. The one thing I did not like is not getting a notification of when it was time for my yearly subscription rate being charged to my credit card. It's possible there was an e-mail but if there was, I didn't see it. I realize it is my responsibility to keep track of that. I do not know if it is possible to cancel mid-subscription if, heaven forbid, something would happen to my dog. I have to think it's possible as getting a new BarkBox could be painful shortly after losing a pet.

Because of the way people relate to their pets now (about 44 percent of millennials alone consider their pets as “starter children”), Bark is able to captivate two major audiences: dog owners and dog people. “Our audience is just people who love dogs,” said Stacie Grissom, head of content. “We start conversations about dogs and form relationships with people around dogs in general. And 85 percent of our content doesn’t even mention BarkBox specifically.”
Within the next few years, 3.6 billion people will use messaging apps—that’s about about half of humanity. It’s hardly a surprise that brands are scrambling to gain a toehold on these popular channels. Both Facebook and Twitter have seen the demand and they’ve recently created tools to help businesses interact with their customers more effectively over their respective apps.
