I am so far only subscribed for a month but I am so glad I did. What made me subscribe, believe it or not was the customer service, they were great. I had a ton of questions when I was browsing their website and not because I was being difficult but because I got burned by my last subscription with Pupbox. Upon receiving the first box, my decision to bite into a 6-month plan was very easily justified. Everything in the box was good quality as promised. It was a fun surprise opening the box. There were a couple of things in the box that we didn’t quite like because it had poultry, but all I had to do was email them and they sent a replacement immediately. They also explained that the welcome box is like a sample box and is in my experience whatever we didn’t want or work will be replaced, no questions asked.

Thinking that maybe I needed to communicate dog to dog, I had my 4 Goldens and 1 Pyr (all rescues) send a personal plea to please get the box right, because their mom was threatening to cancel their subscription and buy their toys in other places. Again, received a cute email response (not nearly as cute as the email my 5 sent) basically saying we were wrong (really? It takes a month to ship something in the United States? And I have a transcript of the previous chat that specified what my BarkBox was supposed to contain, which it did not?!?)...and promises to make things better. THEN, literally 3 days later, another email was received about the glitch in their distribution center and OH - replacement items are now out of stock! 

I have a 15 lb Shorky that would chew threw barkbox toys in minutes. We were put on the destroyer list and told the toys would not have anything harmful in them, wrong. The last toy we received (because I. canceled my subscription) was a stuffed coffin that your dog was suppose to tear it open to get to a bone inside, the toys was filled with stuffing and a squeaker that I had to get away from my dog right away and a rubber bone. I let my dog have the bone and within seconds he had chewed a piece off the end. Yet another toy that went into the garbage. I have toys that I bought at Walmart that are better quality and have lasted months. barkbox is a waste off money!!

Reviews from Top Dog Tips and Gizmodo named this toy one of the top dog toys on the market. In our own tests, the StarMark Bob-A-Lot came in a close second to the Wobble Wag Giggle Ball. The Bob-A-Lot has the benefit of dispensing treats and dogs loves its wobbling action, but the Wobble Wag Giggle Ball doesn't need to be refilled in order to keep your dog's attention.
On the 20th, I filled out a support ticket to find out what was going on and was told there are delays this month due to a change in location of their warehouse. Now, wouldn't you think the company would send out a communication to its client base at the beginning of the month letting them know there may be delays this month due to a new location for their warehouse?

I was dubious that we really needed yet another plush toy, but after Gus (Chihuahua-poodle mix, 18 pounds, 18 months) loved playing with the Outward Hound Hide A Squirrel at a friend’s place, I had to get one. He typically has trouble paying attention to squeaky toys for more than a few minutes at a time, but the more challenging setup of three squeaky squirrels in a tree-trunk-shaped pouch will keep him going for hours. He fishes squirrels out, then runs around like crazy with whichever one is left in his mouth last. I can send the next one sailing the moment he’s back with the first, making it easy to tire him out. He also loves to chew on and shake the tree stump. The pieces are relatively tough too: After three months of near-daily playing, I have yet to do any mending to sew up holes (your mileage may vary—it’s still a plush toy).

Super fast shipping! I got my box two days after my first subscription. I use BarkBox SuperChewer because my puppy will destroy all plush toys. She’s been loving it so far, it’s super durable. She also loved all of the treats they’ve delivered. I love how everything is natural and high quality, it gives me a piece of mind. My pup didn’t like some of the toys and customer service told me they can replace it. So far so good!

I wanted to do something special for my chihuahua pug mix and I decided to sign up for Barkbox. I chose to go with the yearly subscription as it was the cheapest of the group per monthly payments. They offer boxes for different size groups, Small, Medium and Large as well as other types of boxes to fit what your pup needs - regular, super chewers, etc. I started off with just the regular box and when it came in the mail, she wasn't sure what it was yet but was excited. She received two toys, two treat bags and something else - which she all loved. My dog is a chewer so of course she had tore apart one of the toys and I simply contacted someone at Barkbox and asked if they could switch me to an option more suitable for her chew destroying needs and they were more than happy too.

Moxie still has all the toys I got her when I brought her home.  While she likes to carry them around, she doesn’t get destructive with them, so they last.  Getting new toys every month would just be overkill!  I’m envisioning piles and piles of toys.  I don’t really see any other Barkbox reviews pointing this out, so I don’t think it is overkill if your dog tends to tear up the toys eventually.
When we went to meet (and ultimately take home) our rescue mini-schnauzer mix Reggie a year and a half ago, we took four things with us: a collar and leash, a small plush hedgehog, and this weblike rubber ball. The plush hedgehog is now a flat hedgehog — like most dogs, Reggie takes great pride in disemboweling his stuffed toys — and the leash and collar are a little worse for wear, but the Hol-ee Roller rubber ball is still going strong. I get my barkbox the same time my mom gets hers. We live at the same house. She got hers but mine never came. I checked tracking and on their website says no tracking available. I do have an e-mail from scout with a Fedex tracking number. It's been sitting in Troutdale Oregon for 4 days now. Has not even departed. they keep updating the box but to only say its still in Troutdale Oregon still. I am located in Washington. This is ridiculous. My mom got her barkbox for her dog but my poor dog still hasn't gotten his.

I ordered my first BarkBox which was estimated to arrive this Thursday, October 4th (tomorrow). As a first time box buyer you're supposed to receive your box 2-8 business days from your order. I checked on status today and it now says that the box is "still being prepared" when just a couple days ago it had the arrival date of 10/4/18. I already paid for the full 6 months subscription up front. When trying to chat with a service rep they said they had no idea of an estimated date in which I would receive the box. When I asked to cancel the subscription she said I could only cancel going forward and not be refunded for the 6 months I had already paid for. Welcome to BarkBox I suppose! Duped out of my money right out of the gate. I will be going to BBB to get a refund. Paying for services/product then being told "we have no idea what you'll receive this product" is not an acceptable way to do business.
Claire dislikes: Tbh, I was mildly exasperated by this box. They sent three of the same kind of toy, which was so disappointing because for the same gagging/choking hazard reasons I couldn't give Ruggie the lion toy from the BarkBox, I couldn't give these "iBalls" to her either. The antler I received was so, so small, and while I know Ruggie's a tiny beeb, she still goes to town on her chew toys and was worried she'd swallow it accidentally or something.

I have always looked forward to the monthly boxes, as well as my pups. However, my recent experience will cause me to never use your service or recommend to others. The cancellation policy and what seems to be a trend of complaints, was a three month process. My dogs' last box contained treats that made them quite sick. Two of my three dogs were up all night vomiting and diarrhea. I’m not sure I would have made the connection to the treats until an email from BarkBox today. They have never reacted to what you are saying was a mislabeled “included barley” response.
Like several corporate replies to others' reviews, I also have been informed by corporate that a "hiccup in the warehouse" is delaying August orders. Zero information was provided by the company up front to explain this problem. I attempted a chat with customer service last week only to discover that there is no chat. I had to leave a message, which wasn't returned. Then I emailed customer service about an ETA. That prompted a corporate reply with the as-now-standard "hiccup in the warehouse" explanation. I was told our August box is "still on the way." That doesn't answer my ETA question.

We recently underwent a very large warehouse move for the month of July. In doing so we had a few hiccups with some of our boxes. Then also there was limited inventory in our new warehouse. Which would be why that replacement order was canceled. I can totally understand your frustration with the back and fourth and the confusion. I ordered Barkbox when they were having their $5 promotion. When we got the box, my dogs liked the treats, but destroyed the toys in less than an hour. For $5, I wasn't complaining. Before I could cancel (only days after I received my first box) they charged my card $25. I called and expressed how unhappy I was with the box, and I no longer wanted to receive them. They would not refund my money. I just got my second box that I paid for weeks ago, and it's the same deal. They like the treats, but I can go buy better toys from Walmart for less. I was told it would be cancelled after this box, and I really hope that's the case. It's not worth $25...
