They ask about my animals by name and have checked up on me twice since to see if my little ones are enjoying the gifts from Bark Box. They also are looking into making sure that other people can understand the terms of their boxes and do not make the same mistakes that I had, as well as working with their chat department to better their customer service in the future.

While the Nashville BarkPark is initially only a pop-up venture for now, BarkBox has ambitions to open more locations nationwide in the future. I have a 15 lb Shorky that would chew threw barkbox toys in minutes. We were put on the destroyer list and told the toys would not have anything harmful in them, wrong. The last toy we received (because I. canceled my subscription) was a stuffed coffin that your dog was suppose to tear it open to get to a bone inside, the toys was filled with stuffing and a squeaker that I had to get away from my dog right away and a rubber bone. I let my dog have the bone and within seconds he had chewed a piece off the end. Yet another toy that went into the garbage. I have toys that I bought at Walmart that are better quality and have lasted months. barkbox is a waste off money!!

When I contacted customer service the person I was chatting with made me feel like I was incompetent and that it was my own fault for not understanding and reading the very fine print that was smaller than the other wording at the bottom of the page, so needless to say I was very upset. I was not offered a refund and basically, they told me to just deal with it. So I canceled my credit card and went about my way. I did a review of them after the chat and told them why I was upset and what my issue was.
Consumer products know that until you enter your card details, you haven't made the decision. There will be a drop-off at that point. So this allows them to capture you in their system even if you don't complete the purchase. If you sign up after this, great. If you don't, then expect nurturing emails over the next few weeks until you come back and get the box for your dog.
The boxes are themed around the relevant holidays and the packaging itself is made to look like a gift with a bow and to/from tag on the design so it is a nice option for those looking to give as a present to other pups. The box we tested (prior to The Gift Box owning it) had two types of treats (that were both American made) two toys and a scented candle for masking pet smells.
The first time I ordered from BarkBox I had a bad experience. They lost my order, and I had to contact them several times to receive my order. I thought I would give them a second chance and I placed an order on 8/22 for my granddog's birthday on 8/29. I received an email stating the order would be received in 2-5 days. It is now the 29th, her birthday, and my order has not even left the warehouse yet! I will not be giving them a third try. From now on I will be ordering from Amazon. They are much more reliable.
