It’s listed in my comparison post and it’s a good box. It didn’t make it to my top 3 though. It’s been around a long time and not changed much since the beginning. That is a good thing because most other boxes have come and gone. It also means that more modern offerings have come out that offer more like customization/personalization and more donations to charity though. Each of them on my top three have a little something special and/or their products and treats were just a bit better than the rest.
My Mastiff, Thor, and his pitbull sister, Brinley, anxiously await their monthly BarkBox as soon as I tell them it's been shipped. The treats are nutritious, I use some of them in my puppy training classes. Thor commandeers the toys but gradually lets his sister play with them. Most of them hold up very well, lasting for several months. For a heavy chewer like mine, this is a testament to their quality.
My dog, Cooper, has been getting boxes each month for over a year now. He started when he was four months old and the company has been helpful making sure his box is the best for his age and chewing stage. We have never been disappointed in the contents of a box. The food-dispensing OurPets IQ Treat ball has been a favorite in our home for years and keeps our dog Pinky (pit mix, 60 pounds, 9 years) mentally and physically active as well as entertained for a half hour or more at a time. To get kibble or treats out, she has to roll the ball or pick it up in her mouth and throw it. We can easily adjust the opening of the interior compartment to dispense less readily if she’s up for the challenge (or go in the other direction if she’s not). She loves this toy so much, she prefers eating her meals from it rather than from her bowl. Within 24 hours of making my review, I was contacted by someone else with the company who had reviewed my chat and felt that I was not treated fairly or listened too and that my concerns were valid enough to where they wanted to make it right. They have since sent me 6 more bark boxes (free of charge) AND donated to a pet rescue of my choice in honor of my own pups who are rescues.
Claire likes: I was pleasantly surprised at Dapper Dog's great customer service — when I said I had a young puppy, someone emailed me within a day confirming that I did indeed have a puppy, so they could make sure to include age-appropriate toys. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and that Dapper Dog followed through by adding a puppy teething bone to Ruggie's box, which she gnaws on with the passion of a thousand suns.

I have tried Pet Gift Box and Barkbox. I have a beagle with allergies and is rough with his toys so I like that BarkBox provides boxes for them. Both have really cute themes. Pet Gift Box was Back To School it had a yellow bus toy, apple squeaky ball, a carton of milk filled with cookies, and notebook shaped treat. BarkBox the first one was New York themed a Statue of Liberty squeaky ball, chinese box with dumplings it was a toy, I didn’t like October’s box the vampire fang squeaky ball was cute but the coffin squeaky toy was kinda morbid but I guess it is the Vampires it was wood looking soft 4 rope pulls. November was a squeaky apron, and a turkey leg shaped ball that dispense treats when he rolls it around. BarkBox C.S. is excellent. I had to blast Pet Gift Box on twitter for their failure to respond to my emails and no info on shipping 3 weeks had passed and the site said 6-10 days I think but my gripe was they failed to answer any of my emails. They were like Flash Gordon after my tweet shame I had to go thru all that. Maybe they could offer a plan where you can get clothing and accessories instead of toys and treats but my beagle has never forgiven me for sweater I put on him it was a tad snug..lol. After that if you put anything on him he just lays on his back wiggling and twisting. But as for now I am grateful that he is able to get treats and toys he can actually enjoy he seems to be allergic to everything and he has Addisons disease he gets a shot every month. I think Pet Giftbox offers the allergy friendly and heavy chewers box called PawPack.

The study suggests that the craziest dog people might go into withdrawal when they are away from their dog and lean on technology for quick fixes. Many dog people admit they have watched their dog on a webcam (17%) or Skyped or FaceTimed with them while they were away (14%). “This is especially true of Millennials, who are more likely than non-Millennials (24% vs. 13%) to watch their dog on a webcam. In fact, Millennials are nearly three times as likely as their older counterparts (23% vs. 8%) to Skype or FaceTime their dog.”
