Within 24 hours of making my review, I was contacted by someone else with the company who had reviewed my chat and felt that I was not treated fairly or listened too and that my concerns were valid enough to where they wanted to make it right. They have since sent me 6 more bark boxes (free of charge) AND donated to a pet rescue of my choice in honor of my own pups who are rescues.
Howloo Adam! Thanks so much fur adding us on the list of Best Pet Subscription Boxes! 🙂 We absowoofly love sending goodies to our pack, and would love for more furry furiends to join. Each box has a retail price of $40 or more, so our subscription prices are a pawsome deal! We also have a FREE heavy chewer option and allergy friendly option to accommodate our pack’s needs.
I ordered my first BarkBox which was estimated to arrive this Thursday, October 4th (tomorrow). As a first time box buyer you're supposed to receive your box 2-8 business days from your order. I checked on status today and it now says that the box is "still being prepared" when just a couple days ago it had the arrival date of 10/4/18. I already paid for the full 6 months subscription up front. When trying to chat with a service rep they said they had no idea of an estimated date in which I would receive the box. When I asked to cancel the subscription she said I could only cancel going forward and not be refunded for the 6 months I had already paid for. Welcome to BarkBox I suppose! Duped out of my money right out of the gate. I will be going to BBB to get a refund. Paying for services/product then being told "we have no idea what you'll receive this product" is not an acceptable way to do business.
The Sprong feels soft and bounces and squeaks, and it’s one of the only toys that have consistently kept the attention of my dogs (Ziggy and Lily, Chihuahua mixes, 11 and 12 pounds, 2 and 7 years, respectively). Other toys get shredded or elicit only a mild wag after a few weeks, but because the Sprong has no enticing stuffing to rip out and bounces in an irregular manner, it keeps the little pups on their toes. My toddler also steals the Sprong—all doggie toys are toddler toys. But big dogs, beware: The Sprong’s individual nubs are Chihuahua resistant (our pups have had the same Sprong for five years now), but they may not stand up to the stronger jaws of larger dogs.

Howloooo Sally! We are pupsolutely thrilled to have made it to #1 onto your Best Dog Subscription Box list! Thank you furry much for the kind woofs! We absolutely love spoiling all the pups in our pack, and are so yappy Walter and Lily ruved their goodies! 🙂 Each box has a retail value of over $40, so our subscription prices are a pawesome deal! We also have a FREE heavy chewer option and allergy friendly option to accommodate our pack’s needs.
Every kind of toy for every kind of dog. We have balls for fetch, puppy toys for teething, indestructible and tough chew toys, interactive games, along with classic squeaky and rope toys for your furry friend. Find the right size for both large and small breeds. The best toy for your pup may be an activity you share together, a cuddly crate companion, a durable chew to relieve boredom, a food dispensing ball for puzzle solving, or all of the above! PetSmart has all of these toys and more, with selections perfect for active puppies and adults to senior dogs.
I ordered Barkbox when they were having their $5 promotion. When we got the box, my dogs liked the treats, but destroyed the toys in less than an hour. For $5, I wasn't complaining. Before I could cancel (only days after I received my first box) they charged my card $25. I called and expressed how unhappy I was with the box, and I no longer wanted to receive them. They would not refund my money. I just got my second box that I paid for weeks ago, and it's the same deal. They like the treats, but I can go buy better toys from Walmart for less. I was told it would be cancelled after this box, and I really hope that's the case. It's not worth $25...
That’s not because Reggie doesn’t like it. It’s actually his favorite. I’ve spoiled our dog with more toys than I care to admit, but he regularly trots up to me with the Hol-ee Roller for a game of fetch. I’d learned about the ball from friends we’d dog-sat for; their two Shih Tzus were always dropped off with one apiece. Yes, two dogs, two toys. It was easy to see why the pups didn’t want to share: The Hol-ee Roller is a hybrid bouncy ball and chew toy, with big holes that make it easy for smaller mouths to catch and grip and fling about. The rubber is durable but not inflexibly hard, so errant tosses aren’t a breaking hazard, and the ball’s squishiness absorbs its own noise and shock, which is nice news for your downstairs neighbor.
Seriously? I just spoke to someone at Bark Box today about a late delivery for Scout Finch’s box. They not only are making sure the box ships on time now, they’re sending the next box free AND including an extra toy. I was so impressed with their customer service and their determination to make things right that I signed up for a 2nd box each month for my grandson’s dog, Gatsby. We are now loyal Bark Box customers.
If you’re raising your puppy in a city or urban area, this might be the perfect solution for a small outdoor space that lacks foliage like a patio or a balcony. Since the product is an actual living plant, the root bed is able to break down odors and the entire thing is compostable at the end of the month. It almost seems too good to be true for only $24 a month!

By focusing on a specific task —such as repeatedly returning a ball, Kong, or Frisbee® or playing "hide-and-seek" with treats or toys — your dog can expend pent-up mental and physical energy from boredom in a limited amount of time and space. For young, high-energy and untrained dogs, interactive play also offers an opportunity for socialization and helps them learn about appropriate and inappropriate behavior, such as jumping up or being mouthy.

Used to review dog boxes, paied for them so I could say what I wanted. The DapperDog I was so excited to order, however subpar for the price when I recieved it. Both my dogs either the toy fell apart, the list goes on. It’s a more expensive box that I found did not match what was in the box. I like to change up every year, this box half I could not use. I am honestly shocked they have are still around. Just my 2 cents.
Fine Print: Each box contains dog training gear, including a halti harness and a treat pouch, dog training exercises and lessons, plus training games designed for the whole family to enjoy. They even offer bite prevention lessons and a dog body language card game that can help teach your kids how to read and respect your dog (while still having fun)! Good Dog In a Box provides the tools you need to ensure a well-integrated canine/human family.

We started this whole operation to serve the people who are just like us: nuts about dogs. We're "our dogs have more elaborate parties then we do" obsessed. We eat ramen noodles while our dogs dine on organic grass-fed beef. We are disappointed when our dogs don't follow us into the bathroom. Our families think it's cause for concern. But who cares about them? We're here for you and your dog. We've never met your dog, but we know we love them.
